Apple launch event is under its way in San Franciso right now and the very first device to be unveiled by Apple was the brand-new Apple Watch. Apple first surprised us by announcing that it is bringing Nintendo’s Super Mario to the iTunes store for all Apple devices and now it had another surprise in its bag when it announced the arrival of the extremely popular Pokémon Go on its upcoming Apple Watch which incidentally has become the number 1 smartwatch in terms of sale though we still doubt and would love to verify it.
John Hanke, CEO of Niantic Labs said at this event, “It’s certainly been a hectic summer for us!” Pokémon Go has really become a gaming sensation with over 500 million downloads and having trainers walked over 4.6 billion kilometers while playing. This itself is a huge feat and a testament to the game’s popularity.
The new Apple Watch will come with a Pokemon Plus hardware which will start shipping later this month. This will help gamers by showing how much they need to walk to hatch an egg and it would also record this walking as a workout. Two aims with one arrow!!! It will also show notifications when you’ll be near a Pokestop or Pokemon or gyms.
Apple Watch will also come with tonnes of new features like greater water resistance up to 50m , offline maps and live navigation using Viewfinder technology. Stay tuned for more.
