OnePlus has always been very prompt with its update as the recently launched OnePlus 3T has started receiving its first OTA update. The new OxygenOS update is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be rolled out in phases in different regions to users over-the-air (OTA). OnePlus has termed this update to be “incremental” and also stated on its forum, “The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today, and we’ll begin a broader rollout in a few days.”
According to an official post by the Chinese smartphone maker, the new OxygenOS 3.5.4 update will resolve the problem of lagging when the battery is below 5 percent as reported earlier by many users. The update also brings optimizations for US-TMO network and an optimized battery saving mode which will restore the GPS and other orientation preferences when the power saving mode is disabled.
OxygenOS 3.5.4 update also brings an optimized Bluetooth connectivity for Mazda cars. The new update has also fixed issues regarding flashlight usability in WhatsApp. 3.5.4 Update has also introduced further stability to the device and has also fixed some previously discovered bugs.
To recall, OnePlus 3T was launched in India on 14th December, a month later than its Global launch. The smartphone will be sold exclusively through amazon in India. The 64GB storage model of OnePlus 3T is priced at ₹29,999 while the 128GB inbuilt storage model will be available for ₹34,999.
