Brace yourselves Nokia fans as the latest Nokia smartphone has just been revealed. The device in question here is the much-awaited Nokia 8 which has been listed online by JD.com. JD.com is the official online seller for Nokia smartphones including the previously released Nokia 6, but the authenticity of this listing remains to be verified. The device has been made available for pre-registration and is expected to release ahead of the MWC 2017.
The website has listed the Nokia 8 for a price of 3,188 Yuan (approximately Rs 32,000). HMD Global has scheduled an event for this Sunday and it seems highly probable that the Nokia 8 will be the device to be unveiled at the function. This listing might be accidental but it sheds a lot of light on the device.
The Nokia 8 will be made available in Black and Grey colour variants and the device sports an almost bezel-less display. The device looks gorgeous in the listed pictures. A circular camera module can also be seen on the rear indicating a Carl Zeiss camera.
While the specifications aren’t available yet, but the Nokia 8 is expected to be powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Snapdragon 821 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM. The device will reportedly sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display. The device will offer 64GB or 128GB of internal storage and run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. It is also expected to pack a 24MP Carl Zeiss camera with OIS and EIS.
However, please note that none of these specifications has been provided in this listing and the listed pictures of Nokia 8 in this listing resembles a prior render which rouses suspicion. So we would advise caution to our readers and request them to take it with a pinch of salt.
