GeekBench provided confirmation of the information on the amount of RAM in the new 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus smartphone Apple. Data revealed in the latest version of benchmark tool for testing the performance of mobile devices.
So, based on the specifications of iPhone 7 Plus, the smartphone has a 3 GB RAM, that means 1 GB larger than its predecessor ( iPhone 6S Plus ), but less than the iPad Pro with 4 GB of RAM.
It is noteworthy that the benchmark shows only two processor cores, although the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus equipped with quad-core SoC A10 Fusion. As Phil Schiller said at the launch of smartphones, two high-performance core combined in her work almost twice as fast than the iPhone 6, and two high-performance cores that are capable of consuming 5 times less power than high-power core.
The A10 Fusion uses a completely new architecture, so it can run faster when you want high performance, and cost-effective when the power of the device is not as critical to the task.
Graphics processing speed is also increased: now it is almost three times higher than the iPhone 6.
“The new architecture makes the A10 Fusion powerful processor in the history of smartphones”, – noted in the Apple.
The processor provides a longer battery life than any other iPhone.
According to the benchmark, iPhone 7 Plus is the most productive Apple iOS-device, outstripping the iPad Pro performance with the upgraded chip A9X. The latest version of the new flagship GeekBench showed a record result in 3233 points in single-core and 5363 points in multi-core test mode.
