The app market for Android has grown by leaps and bounds over the last few years. While millions of Android apps at your disposal may seem pretty alluring but this might come at a great price. These Spywares in the garb of innocent apps asks for various permissions and stealthily extract tonnes of data from your smartphone. Many a times these apps aren’t even visible but still operate while staying hidden.
But here’s a way how you can find these Spywares and remove them from your Android smartphone. Just follow these easy steps and you would be able to view all the hidden apps and spywares on your smartphone and remove or disable them.
Step 1: Open Settings Menu of your Android smartphone and choose ‘Security’ option.
Step 2: Open ‘Device Administrator’.
Step 3: Uncheck any App that you are unaware of so that it doesn’t get administrative privileges to your device. However, don’t uncheck Android Device Manager as this is Google’s App which helps in keeping your device secure.
Step 4: Now go back to Settings menu once again and open ‘Apps’ option.
Step 5: Here you’ll be able to see all the apps that are installed on your device. Even the system apps or any hidden apps would also be visible here. Click on any app that you’re unaware of so that you can disable or uninstall it. I’ve just selected an app at random here to show you how to do it.
Step 6: Select ‘Uninstall’ if you wish to remove a particular program or choose ‘Force Stop’ if you wish to stop it temporarily. You can even freeze an app permanently but you would need to get your device rooted and a software like Titanium Backup Pro for that.
Step 6: In case of system apps, however, you won’t be able to disable them or uninstall them on an unrooted device but you can stop it temporarily if you wish.
Follow these easy steps and you would be easily able to remove any unwanted and unneeded apps from your Android smartphone and thus prevent your device from getting snooped.
