There’s no doubt that Mac is a great OS and it is in many ways better than Windows. But it also goes without saying that Windows is far superior to the Mac OS when it comes to few things like Gaming. Windows offer a much superior gaming experience than the Mac and there are still few apps which are Windows-exclusive which you may wish to try. Apple knows all of this and hence it provides a Boot Camp right into the OS.
The Boot Camp allows MacOS users to create a partition and installs Windows directly on a dual-boot system. It can easily be done on the new Macbook Pro 2016 and even on the older Macbooks in about less than an hour. So get ready to use your all-new Touch Bar on Windows 10.
Here’s how you can install Windows 10 on your Macbook Pro in just a few simple steps:
STEP 1: First open your Safari browser and head over to the Microsoft website to download the Windows 10 ISO file.
STEP 2: Select the Windows 10 edition. Preferably select the Windows 10 or Windows 10 Single Language ISOs.
STEP 3: Now select your preferred language and choose 64-bit download and click Confirm.
STEP 4: Get this ISO file in a Pendrive.
STEP 5: Now we would recommend you to backup your files before proceeding further.
STEP 6: Now open the Boot Camp Assistant app. It is located in Utilities folder in Applications.
STEP 7: Now click Continue and the Boot Camp Assistant will automatically find the Windows 10 ISO file on your Pendrive.
STEP 8: Now adjust how much space you wish to allocate to the Windows 10 OS by clicking and dragging the partition slider.
Please note that you can not resize the Windows 10 partition in future without deleting the whole Windows 10 installation to allocate wisely.
STEP 9: Now click Install to commence the installation and partitioning process.
STEP 10: Now your system will restart automatically, so don’t worry if you see a black screen as it will take a while. Scaling issues might be there and everything might look very tiny, but don’t worry.
STEP 11: You’ll be prompted to select the language, number formats, Windows version and keyboard. Then click next and select Install Now.
STEP 12: You’ll be prompted to enter the product key but you can just skip it you don’t have a key.
STEP 13: Accept all the terms and condition and click OK.
STEP 14: Now comes the important part, when asked to select the partition, only choose the partition labelled Drive 0 Partition X: BOOTCAMP. Also, check whether it has the same size as you had allocated or not.
STEP 15: Click Format and then click Next to start the Windows 10 installation.
STEP 16: Just follow the on-screen prompts.
STEP 17: When asked to activate Windows, just select “Do this later”. You can activate your Windows any time later.
Voila, Windows 10 is installed on your Macbook Pro. So enjoy.
