Selfies have been the new cool for the last couple of years and it often becomes an important criteria before purchasing any smartphone. There is some great news for the selfie enthusiasts who can’t resist but pout to their front cameras every few minutes and post it on Instagram. The best smartphones out there be it the iPhone 7 or Google Pixel or the Galaxy S7 Edge not only have great primary rear cameras, but equally awesome front cameras as well. However, these devices come with a great price tag. But voila, the all new Vivo V5 Plus has solved this issue.
Priced at Rs. 27,980, this latest Vivo flagship sports as what can be termed as the best-selfie camera on any device currently. Much like the iPhone 7 Plus, the Vivo V5 Plus also sports a dual camera setup, however, with the only difference that the this dual camera setup is present on the front rather than rear. The dual camera setup a combination of 20MP+ 8MP lens. The 20MP lens uses a Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor and has an f/2.0 aperture. The 8MP camera captures the depth of the field. It goes unsaid that the front camera of the device takes breath-taking pictures and you can see it for yourself if you don’t beleive us. If not superior to the iPhone 7 Plus or Google Pixel front cameras, it is very much comparable to them.
Apart from this, the popular ‘bokeh’ effect has also been added and the camera really captures a lot of detail. There is a 16MP primary rear camera which also does a decent job in good lighting conditions. The Vivo V5 Plus is a 5.5-inch device and sports a FHD display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. It offers 64GB internal storage and packs a 3,055 mAh battery. Vivo V5 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Funtouch OS 3.0. The device sports a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button and supports 4G VoLTE.
As far as looks are concerned, the Vivo V5 Plus draws huge inspirations from the iPhone 7 and thus looks just stunning. It has a solid build and gives a very premium feel. But would buyers be willing to shed for this Rs. 27,980 remains to be seen. The device will go on sale starting February 1 on both online and offline platforms. The device will, however, be made available only in Gold colour in India.
