There was a huge hue and cry when Apple ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Criticisms flew in from all corners even though Apple provided a lightning connector to 3.5mm jack converter along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Many users have even claimed that the sound output isn’t as great as offered earlier by the headphone jack. Apple called this a brave and necessary move and its suite was soon followed by a few other big manufacturers as well.
However, if you’re still missing the old headphone jack on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. There might just be a solution. Soon after the release of the new iPhones, various iPhone cases with the headphone jack began surfacing, but here’s the first one which is really available for pre-order. We’re talking about Fuze which is the first iPhone 7 case with an integrated Lightning to 3.5mm audio jack adapter. It is currently available on Indiegogo for pre-order.
Although Fuze might not look what you would call stunning, but the case contains a 2,400 mAh battery in case of iPhone 7 and a 3,600 mAh battery in case of iPhone 7 Plus for extra power. It can be easily charged via a Lightning cable. The case weighs around 2.9 ounces, so it is a bit on the heavier side, but considering the huge battery improvement, I wouldn’t mind that personally. You can see how this case works in this video:
However, it must be noted that Fuze is a crowdfunding company with no prior experience in shipping such hardware. The case has an official price of $69, but you can get it at price lesser than that as an ‘early bird‘ price. The company has promised to start the shipping for the early-bird batch during December. So do weigh the pros and cons before you go and place your order for this very promising iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus case.
