Flipkart Is Now Apple’s Partner For iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Sales in India

Apple very recently launched its latest smartphones iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Both the devices are slowly going on sale in the different markets throughout the globe. However, both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are yet to hit the store shelves in India. Over the past few years, India has emerged as one of the biggest consumer bases for Apple. Apple has entered into an agreement with one of India’s most popular e-commerce giant Flipkart for the sale of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Although big Indian e-commerce giants like Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm and Snapdeal even earlier used to sell Apple products, but those were sourced from Apple partners. From now onwards, Flipkart will directly source the iPhones and other Apple products from Apple rather than its partners. However, this is the not the first time that Apple has made any of the online Indian retailers its authorised reseller. Earlier too Infibeam was Apple’s authorised online reseller.

Although, this partnership isn’t going to bring much of a change in the consumer experience as the iPhones sold by other online retailers like Snapdeal, Amazon India, and Paytm carry the same Apple warranty. However, since Flipkart is now Apple’s official reseller, we can expect the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to be made available at the official price as soon as they are released in India on October 7th.

Flipkart has not only just listed the upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, but the older models as well which indicates that this partnership is for the complete range of iPhones and not just the iPhone 7 series. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will go on sale starting 7th October in India and you can check the official Indian prices here. Apple has also slashed the prices of iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE and has revamped the series by introducing new increased storage variants.

We can very much anticipate the anxiety of the Indian fans but October 7 is not that far away and Apple’s collaboration with Flipkart clearly suggests that Apple is focusing on India as a great potential market for its products.
