According to DigiTimes, shipments of display modules defining the effect of pressure on screen, in 2016 will increase by 317%, reaching 461 million units. This means that every fourth smartphone released next year will get force pressing display very similar of Apple 3D Touch technology, used in iPhone 6s.

GUI of iOS 9 supports this technology and, works when by pressing force on the touch, performs certain actions. In addition to such familiar gestures like touch, swipe, and pinch, 3D Touch allows you to use Peek and Pop. Through these gestures, you can view online content and work with it, even opening. Network sources claim that the next flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 will be equipped with similar technology. Samsung  is not the first time to follow the footsteps of Apple: in 2013, after the presentation of iPhone 5s, the top Manager of the South Korean firm announced his intention at all was to equip future flagship 64-bit processor.

Latest reports indicate that in China and the largest manufacturer Xiaomi, often called “Chinese Apple”, has also received a patent for his version of the function implementation. Does not specify whether the company to develop its own technology or will stop at a ready solution from Synaptics. Although most likely still appears to be recent developments.
