iPhone can really be productive, it helps you to customize your settings according to your needs. But there isn’t any feature in iOS to add signature in iMessage or messages as well as in e-mail. Its really important when you are sending a message to a sender in professional manner or who doesn’t have your contact number saved.
There are tons of apps available on appstore for this; some are worth few dollars, but it isn’t feasible to buy at all. Well there is a simple trick that will make you a custom signature in a message, and use it in emails also.
There is no feature to add a signature automatically; all we can do is to type a short code which results in your full signature. Just check the guide below to understand how to do it.
How to Add Signature in Messages App on iPhone and iPad
Step #1. On your iPhone, tap on Settings → Tap on General.
Step #2. Scroll down a little and your will find Keyboard, tap on it. and then under that menu, tap on “Text Replacement.”
Step #4. Tap on the “+” sign located at the top-right corner of the screen. then in the Phrase field: type your signature that you want to display in messages. In shortcut field, type the shortcut name eg “reg” i have given as for “Regards, Anil Chopra”. Then when you have finished you can just save it.
And you can add any no of custom shortcuts, or custom messages.
That’s it, you have created a custom signature for your messages and emails. So when you want to display just type the shortcut character, your signature will come up.
